This is the second biggest in the world but come on, they're the first in power generation. It's absolutely huge you can't imagine. If you can visit at night because of the lights. Awesome!

At the Itaipu website you can choose some different visit as you prefer. The "complete" one is really great as you can be inside of this monster.

It costs R$ 17.00 (parking lot not included) and is well organized. Free wifi available. I felt quite disapointing this tour because after you watching... More

It is a huge and a beautiful construction that needs to be visited. Before you make a visit to its outside a video is presented telling the story and some numbers for you to compare how big it is.

Nice little hotel in restored building with large comfortable rooms, friendly service, typical breakfast. Situated in San Telmo which is not in the main centre and a little run down but with lots of local colour, market, restaurants etc Would need to take taxis or master public transport to see the sights Enjoyed my one night there

It was great to see and know about the Itaipu Dam. Which supplies electricity to three countries. Bus tour was very nice except there is no cover on the side and we all got wet I caught a bad cold.

The second biggest dam in the world, a very complex site, you can get a short visit by bus (three hours), or a full day experience, only accessible to adult visitors. If you are a socially committed citizen, or a civil engineer, don't miss it!
