After enjoying Maracaipe beach in the afternoon we walked about 1 km by the beach to find us a nice spot by the river in Pontal, you basically go around.
At sunset it's really amazing, one of the best of the entire trip.
We swam by the river and then saw the sunset.
We walked back to Maracaipe with the moon.
Total paradise

This was a nice visit to take a boat tour around the river and look for Sea Horses. The guide was very nice and he caught 2 horses. We got to go in the water as well. Fun hour or so with the family.

This is a Simply Amazing place to experience especially during the low tide when the ocean goes out and small pools being to form where you snorkel or just relax in the warm waters of the oceans. There is lots of coral out there so I would recommend wearing some kind of foot wear so you can walk around more comfortably and enjoy the experience. At the height of Low Tide you can walk out almost 2km

Crime: There have been several recent cases of violent crime, with armed robbery against tourists in Ipojuca, Maracaípe and surrounding areas. Police in Brazil don’t investigate and they are unprepared to address anything. They are nothing but potted plants.
Accommodation: Hotels and Inns in Ipojuca and Maracaípe are not always forthcoming about their facilities, you may not have AC in your stay, food is bad and the place will be full of flies.
Price gouging: Food is as expensive as in the US in many places more so. And the food is not good. Pernambucanos find a way to extract money from tourists any way they can; you will be asked for money just for parking on the street or using public restrooms.
Environment: If you care for the environment, you will be disgusted in Pernambuco; plastic and trash is dumped in the ocean daily. There’s trash everywhere and officials don’t care.
Bottom line: You will have a better experience at St. Thomas, Virgin Islands: it’s the US and the beach is just as good, especially Coki Beach.

It's a very nice and very clean beach. If you decide to take sunbeds (and umbrella) from local guys, you need to pay for it. But if you also order food from them (served on the beach), sunbeds are for free. Perfect place to relax and spend the whole day.

This beach is the meeting of the river to the sea and has a huge sandbar with warm and extremely clear water.
Great place to spend an afternoon, especially if the tide is low.
Inland river, it is possible to raft rides and see mangrove crabs and other inhabitants of this vegetation. In addition, the site is a refuge for seahorses, and the sailors dive and catch them, put in small glass containers for tourists to observe (and then return them in the same place).
Fantastic and unmissable.

Pontal do Maracaípe is located is the delta of Maracaípe river where sweet waters meets salty warm waters of Atlantic Ocean. It’s the perfect place to relax with wind sounds and eat crab.
However , the unique kiosk is a bit expensive.

People talked so much about this place, but for menor was a disappointment. We went with the small boat up to the point they claimed to find the sea horses. Arriving there, 4 guys were diving for about half an hour until they found one animal and put it into a glass! Boring and expensive...

Wonderful beach to see seahorses and crabs. You can take a boat ride to the mangroves, after a dune buggy ride to get here. Lots of small bars for beer and snacks

Maracaipe is a dream beach. From the surf to kite surfing to sea horses, must visit. This beach is 5 minutes further south than Porto and definitely worth a day visit at least or stay at Brisas where you can sit and watch the surf all day long . Excellent place to stay

Oi gente, o bar do galo é onde deixa o carro??
