Where the river meets the ocean

In a sandy beach with clear waters, you'll find a river with ots cold waters. Nice shady areas gives you a refuge from the sun.

We ended up here by accident. Among the island's highlights, this was not one of them. The water is quite different and not swimmable. It was interesting to view the locals residents on the shore.

The only beach, Praia do Amor, is basically only accessible by boat. It is a small and well protected bay, but not really to be seeing. The last stretch of sand is Praia de Fora. Around he Pereque river, between Caramiranga and Praia de Fora is the last beautiful and interesting point in this direction.

The beach is on a kind of bay, so it´s protected with calm waters. A place to enjoy the view and the tranquility of it.

Its a beautiful view, and worth a visit, but its a small beach and it gets over-run by water taxis and other boats. Its just too crowded to be relaxing. Still, worth visiting for about an hour.

Great water colour buy no sand to lay down, waters are not clear as in the Blue lagoon, it is nice to spend 40 min on the area swimming and enjoying water

I expected more after reading other reviews but I felt disappointed and I wouldn´t recommend it. Lopes Mendez is far the best beach though is not easy to get there.

Saco do Ceu is a very nice beach, but since most tour boats stop there it can get quite crowded... The first church on the island wa built there in the 1800s, unfortunately it was closed.

This place is charming, Tome sol in the ship, while it was observing the celestial sky. Incredible. By night we could see the stars reflected in the sea. A paradise.

This beautiful paradise can become very busy and noisy in the Summer peak hours. I actually can't believe someone even considers riding his jet sky in this place which should be only for people who want to relax and rest. It is a pity! So try to get there early or beat the "traffic jam and noise" by visiting it... More
