Nice beach for swimming and relaxing on the sand. good tree cover. there is a path to a small really old church. and on one of the sides there is a small fresh water lake that poors out to the beach and sea.

We spent 10 excellent days, each of the beaches are truly a paradise, white sand, crystal clear water and pleasant temperature.
A beautiful small town abrao.
I recommend taking the ilhas paradisíacas excursions and a full tour of the island where you will find beautiful beaches. It's a pity that you spend a short time in each of them but they are beautiful. Another is López Méndez, without a doubt one of the favorites. Don't forget to go to this paradise of peace and nature

Calm beach, very calm place, on past had a village there, today has nothing only some residents and only one camping place with basic structures (toilet, shower, a kind of snackbar).
It have river with a small waterfall, good to "take a bath" after beach

I wanted to find a place as far from humanity as possible, with untouched nature all around. And I got it. There is nothing in Parnaioca but beach, forest and a couple of small camping areas. Marta's camping offers spaces to pitch your own tent or to rent a tent from them. They offer 3 meals a day and drinks, but if you want to carry your own food, there is a lovely little kitchen area. The trail is quite tough to reach there (it took me 5 hours from Abraão), but this weeds out the faint hearted leaving only gems of people also in love with the natural wonder there.

It is hard to reach Parnaioca beach, but it is paradise. Marta is such a lovely, good hearted person. Parnaioca is a very quiet beach, not for parties, but for nature lovers. You can hike to Aventureiro beach within 3 hours. Its officially not allowed but no problem. But it might be a bit tricky to find the way, better to walk with somebody who knows the area. Its also a great place for fishing, there is a small waterfall and river at Parnaioca. For me its the most beautiful place in Brazil and i have traveled a lot. If you come there by boat make sure to bring enough fruits and veg etc, as there is no supermarket. But you can give a shopping list and some money to one of Martas Fisherman Friends and 1-3 days later they come back with your things. I already stayed there a couple of times for several weeks and am Martas friend. If you come there tell her that you read Julia from Austrias 's review to make her smile.

We did a 5-day walk around the island and visited most of its beaches, Parnaioca was one of our favorite. Quite place, white sand beach, crystal clear water, very nice for swimming. We easily could stay here for couple of days. If you want to escape crowds and noise of more popular beaches on Ilha Grande, Parnaioca is a good alternative! There are plenty campings where you can buy food.
More info on our hike and other beaches on Ilha Grande you can find by google Stingy Nomads Ilha Grande.

We toured 6 different beaches on the south - this was simply paradise. It felt untouched, old chapel, river with fresh water, in the midst of jungle. Best beach ever visited

Very remote beach. Only way to get there is by boat. There are basic camp sites there serving basic provisions. Other than that, this place is another deserted postcard beachm
