The most beautiful beach in Ilha Grande, in my opinion. Calm and relaxing. About 2h walking, but it is worth visiting. Medium-level trail. You can go there by foot or by taxi boat. There are no restaurants, but you can find locals selling meals.

The village of Dois Rios is almost like a ghost town, with very few residents and quite a few houses taken back by nature. It is very interesting in its own way and all the residents we chatted with were very helpful. Recommended.

Amazing beach that is smaller than "Lopes" but has a couple little resteraunts. Our boat guide must have had connections to the first (which looked like the only) resteraunt and brought everyone there. They had fish or chicken. Chicken was good. Cold beer/water/soda. But if I was in line and didn't want to wait I could have gone past this... More

we arrived at this village as we decided we wanted to do a hike of this length and dois rios was the right distance. the hike took us approx. 2 hours. basically you set off from the main town, the same trail you start on if you are hiking to the gavea point (higest point). It is very easy to... More

Definetly a must see in the island. Don't let the walking distance change your mind. The village itself seems abandoned but the beach is wonderful, specialy on both ends of it. Hiring a mountain bike is a good choice to reach Dois Rios more quickly but get prepared for a 4km ramp up.

The Dois Rios Beach worthy the trail (about 2 hours, with a stop at the soldier's pool), not the village. But, considering that the village is on the way to the beach, stop by and see the old prison and some abandoned houses,

Well, it´s not worthy making a two hours trail from Abraao Village to Dois Rios Village, but it certainly is to do so to reach Dois Rios Beach (magnificent!). But, as Dois Rios Village is in the way, take a half hour there to drink something and to visit the museum that was made at the ruins of the old... More

The hike there is on a dirt road, so it's not real fun. Avoid times between 11am and 2pm as there is not much shade. Only 2 places to eat very small, so I recommend taking some food too. I went in the winter (winter in Brazil is still very hot) but locals said in the summer there are more... More

this little village is worth the 17 km (!) walk from Abraaozinho. The road takes you over the mountain and through the rainforest, just beautiful! Take enough water with you... Dois Rios was deserted when the political prison was closed (only in 1994) and it is amazing to see what time and the forest does to the houses and surroundings... More
