The view from there is so beautiful! If you’re planning to go, preferably go after 2pm or try to catch the sunset. I went at midday and the sun was on point. 🥵
Make sure to bring repellent, as there are many mosquitoes, but you’ll definitely enjoy the rest.

In case you are in Rio de janeiro, spend one afternoon for a trip across the bridge Rio- Niterói, to visit Parque da Cidade! A 10 minutes drive from dowtown Niterói, and you reach a plateau, where people paragliders fly around. One of the best views of Rio de Janeiro, especially of Baia da Guanabara : simply sit down ,"breath slowly"and enjoy an astonishing view. You will never forget it !

Visiting Niterói is a blessing on its own for its small town charms, nice tourist attractions and friendly locals. This park is special not only for the chance of relaxation and connection with nature, but also for the magnificent view it provides to Rio de Janeiro. Certainly most of my all time favorites pictures of Rio have been taken from this park, the view is just breath taking. Remember to bring a light jacket because it's windy up there. ;)
BTW, there's a place to eat there, so you might have brunch or enjoy a quick meal...
If a couch potato, go by car. If adventurous, enjoy a steep climb over a well paved road. Mind the cars, though.

This is an excellent park, with interesting infrastructure and very nice environment. Unfortunatelly, it has not been properly looked by the last many mayors. It is being degraded during the last many years. Quite a pity. It has the potential to be one of the top attractions in Rio, for the ones who like Jardim Botânico or Floresta da Tijuca or Parque Lage. Lets hope new governments restore its former beauty.

Absolutely stunning, magnificent view of the city and the Baia de Guanabara! There are hang gliders jumping from there, it's really cool. There's a cafe', bathrooms and parking is free. Best enjoyed on a sunny day!

This park is a hidden natural paradise in Niterói. The view is absolutely spectacular. No wonder that this is one of the most visited places for those who like to jump paragliding. But not much to see besides that. There was a snack bar and a gift shop for souvenirs that are now closed, and the site is overgrown.

If you come to Niteroi and don't go to Parque da Cidade your visit is not complete! Spectacular views where you can see Rio in the background. The place is also great during sunset.

This lookout across the bay in Niteroi is totally the best view of all of Rio and the surrounding area, the most naturally beautiful city in the world. Worth driving across the bridge for; in fact, Niteroi itself is worth a day of exploration.

From Parque da Cidade you have one of the best sights of the city of Rio de Janeiro.

The experience to view Guanabara Bay across from Rio de Janeiro is unique. Wonderful, breathtaking. Hard to get there. Road badly preserved. If you are in good conditions to climb the steep hill, be cautious and don't take expensive belongings with you. Nothing much to do, but one may gliding fly from there. Try to arrange this first, since this service is not regularly offered there.

Há muitas perguntas sobre o custo do parque e sobre as mesas de piquenique... Quando fui há pouco tempo, não havia custo para chegar e percorrer as trilhas, e haviam poucas mesas para piquenique, confere?

Não há cobrança de nada lá em cima.Poucas mesas mas há lugar p sentar e descansar. Tem um Restaurante panoramico mas estava fechado, acho pelo horario as 14 hhs.
