The pão de acucar is reachable in two ways. Either by boat from Paraty itself (depending on the boat between 25 minutes and 2 hours) or from Paraty Mirim (45 minutes by bus from Paraty bus station). The hike is around 50-60 minutes and well...More

The trail for Pão de Açúcar peak (not those of Rio de Janeiro) is moderate and takes circa 45 min to reach the summit. Nice view of the bay.

We did this hike the morning after hiking along the coast for 3 days. It took about an hour to hike to the top. It is a trail that is fairly steep the whole way up and coming down would be a little tricky if...More

It's so beautiful, the view is amazing. If you want to avoid line up go on SUNDAY or any religuis holiday ... We went on Sunday and the lines were less than normal. You still had to wait but at least it was manageable.

Dang, I wish I could give this hike 10 round circle dots of trip advisor liking. It's pretty amazing. We did it after it had been raining the days before so it was a little slippery in places , but the hike was good, got...More

After spending 6 days in Rio celebrating carnival my wife and I thought it would be a good idea to get some exercise and complete this hike. We did the hike mid February and what was 38C weather. What can I say, the trek up...More
