It is located close to a street with a lot of movement. You can take some pictures, watch for 5 - 10 minutes and that is it...

It's a flower clock! In front of the University and near Santos Dumont's house. I wasn't particularly excited about it but I guess it's a landmark of the city ;)

Petropolis is not 'a great city, at least the old town and then all the places that reflect the period style are in a radius of just one kilometer piu'di. It's simple but beautiful floral clock, near the house of Santos Dumont and the wax museum.

Whenever visiting the "Imperial City" of Petrópolis, you will certainly pass in front of the beautiful "Relógio das Flores"! Located between two of Petrópolis most important tourist attractions: the "Praça da Liberdade" and the "Museu Casa de Santos Dumont", this awesome flower clock was built in 1972, commemorating the 150 years of Brazil's independence from the Portuguese Crown. When visiting "Relógio das Flores", just take a look at the beautiful building right on its back! It is today one of the "campi" of the "Universidade Católica de Petrópolis", but this building housed two famous old hotels: the "Hotel Orleans" (where Brazilian royals were guests when the Imperial Family and the Court stayed in the city for the Summer months in the 19th century) and later, renamed to "Palace Hotel" (where famous Brazilian airplane inventor, Alberto Santos Dumont, lived before building his own Alpine style chalet, the nearby "Museu Casa de Santos Dumont", in the early 20th century). You can easily walk between "Praça da Liberdade", "Relógio das Flores" and "Museu Casa de Santos Dumont", enjoying Petrópolis mild climate and fond Imperial memories ... Enjoy!

When you go to "encantada" (Santos Dumont house) this is just left. It is just in front the old Palace Hotel (Now a University) where Santos Dumont bouth his lunch (the encantada does't has a kitchen).

I did like the flower garden and the surroundings of the university of petropolis. By the way, all the historical center worthwhile a visit: go by feet and in an 30 to 45 minutes walk you're gonna see a lot o historical and interesting stuff

A beautiful flower clock at the foot of the university. In front is the house of Santos Dumont, with many stairs to climb.

The clock is located among the flowers that were well cared for and in front of the Catholic college in Petrópolis. A quick photo stop.
