Excellent time with favelatours.org DJ Zezinho and especially Pedro. Great walking tour fair prices felt nothing less than safe. People are themselves with no concern as to the tourist. Highly recommend Pedro.

We booked this favela tour at short notice for our last day in Rio with Zezhino and I'm so glad we did. He is a Rocinha local, however as he's half-American he's perfectly bilingual. First of all, I want to say that the tour is...More

This is the right way to tour a favela: with a local who grew up there, and a company that contributes directly to the community. The owner, Zezinho, is half American, half Brazilian. He moved back to Rochina and started his little company to help...More

The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional
and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood
is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and
traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of
everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs,
chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and
more live side-by-side. There are options for all
price points and tastes. However, the most powerful

I think you need to search for Favela Tours in Rio. There are many companies that serve different favelas. All I can say is do your research. Most are sitting in a bus or jeep, not as many walking tours. Find walking tours... More
