Chilled-out, secluded beach spot. The only drawback is that cell phone reception is very bad so it's hard to get an Uber when it's time to leave. The restaurant near the entrance will let you use their internet though.

Beauty. It is an unmissable visit for all visitors. It comes easily. There are no lines to enter and they do not charge entrance. For lovers of architecture and art it is an incredible place.

A nice, undeveloped, and sometimes deserted beach. Get there early and there will be lots of parking. Some of the kiosks sell drinks and food and rent chairs. We went on a Sunday and it was empty. The waves can be rough, so be careful.

Completely unspoiled natural beach with no buildings, makes you easily imagine how this part of the world was 500 years ago. Just don't go during a hot summer weekend day because it will be overloaded with people and cars.

Water was rough (Wintertime) But area by the rocky foothill was more protected & somewhat calm.
Decent places to eat & drink at too.

This is definitively the best beach in the city of Rio. Why? Beacause it is a long cost, full of parking lot, far from the crowded places and very close to the Wild Beaches and Prainha !!!

For me, the best beach in the city... quiet and crystal clear water"! And another important detail: there are no street vendors.

Clear water and white sand beaches. Chairs and Umbrellas offered but no towels. Payments can be done by credit card. I would pay with cash though. The credit card I used there afterwards was used to withdraw cash from a money machine. What a coincidence.

Secluded, horseshoe shaped beach, surrounded by a tropical forest, with Rio's best surfing spot. Although more crowded on summer weekends, it has more life to it and people to share the experience.
