One of the landmarks, a must see. Good views of the city, small beaches etc on a nice day. Located in a quiet area of Urca, which is safe and nice to walk around, some nice local cafes and restaurants in the area.

Enjoyed this far more than Cristo Redentor- very little time queuing and lots of space. Take a picnic up and spend some time up there. Cool for sunset

We went with Grayline Travel and we would recommend them. We did the express tour, to both Corcovado and Sugar Loaf, lasting 6 hours, from 2pm till 8pm. Corcovado in daylight and Sugar Loaf at night, what a combination. Highly recommended.

The visit to Sugar Loaf was amazing, everything we hoped it would be. We visited late in the afternoon, so we could be at the summit for the sunset. Ticketing was straightforward and the organisation to get you to the two platforms was very slick....More

Urca is one of the oldest areas in Rio. Known for its
incredible views of the city, the neighbourhood runs
along Guanabara bay, providing visitors with an
opportunity to watch the sunset from one of Rio’s
greatest natural treasures: Sugarloaf Mountain (Pao de
Acucar). It is said that the locals in Urca are “bon
vivant,” which is one of the reasons the area attracts
people of all styles and ages. Urca is the perfect
