Technically, Copacabana turns into Ipanema, and Ipanema turns into Leblon. Visibly quieter and nicer neighborhood with nice cafes and restaurants. Nice beach, good for jogging. Feel somehow safer than in Ipanema or Copacabana areas. My favorite together with Urca in Rio.

It was my favorite beach in Rio. Leblon is frequented more by locals, the sun beds, umbrellas and drinks are a little bit more expensive in Leblon, so it was less crowded than Copacabana and Ipanema. You should go there in the morning

Neice beach, clean waters, white and large sand, waves, not calm. However, especially at this time of the year, packed with people all over. If you want at any cost to have a bath in Rio de Janeiro, this is the place to go!

Love this end of the bay past Ipanema. This area feels less tourist but, in fact, is full of tourists likely looking for a different experience- fewer people and no loudspeakers as on Copacabana. Many restaurants and shops within 2-3 blocks inland all along Leblanc...More

Really nice beach. Very pretty with minimal surf so great for swimming. Really nice sunsets, cool vibe. Mainly families and locals but very safe and not too touristy. Highly recommended.

Best spot to get your feet in the water at sunset; Enjoy more the upscale crowd on the beach and more space to get your umbrella

Beach adjacent to some of the most expensive real estate in Rio. Well maintained. Was not very crowded the day we were there but there were several surfers catching the early spring season waves. Immediately to the East is the more famous Ipanema Beach. Just...More
