We had a great trip with our guide Lucas. He was a really nice guy, spoke English well, and was clearly very experienced with the route and using the ropes. (He also risked life and limb taking photos at just the right angle at the summit). Although you could do this walk on your own, I wouldn't recommend for beginners.... More

We had the most amazing time on the Pedra da Gavea trip, thanks to our experienced and encouraging guide Lucas Teixeira. The hike was non trivial (especially for us 50+ folks!). We had to walk up the steep trails and rock climb some sections to get to the top. Lucas was thorough, patient and relaxing. He made everything look easy... More

My highlight of Rio - Pedra da Gavea was an unforgettable day with the absolute best views! As I am not an experienced hiker I would not have been able to complete this hike without the guidance of Lucas. Lucas was an expert at this hike and was extremely patient and helpful, especially in the sections I had trouble with!... More

Today I did the Pedra da Gavea tour with my girlfriend and we had an absolutely amazing time - not only do I think this hike has the best view of Rio but it would not have been possible without the guidance and help of our awesome tour leader. Lucas was extremely knowledgable about the area, made us feel really... More

We had a day trip from Rio to Telegrapho. The guide waited for us at the subway station in Copacabana and we all took the public transportation to get at the point. Then you have 40 minutes walk to get to the peak. The trip was really nice and Lucas (the guide) had a good english so it was easy... More

We took a tour from Rio to the old Imperial City of Petropolis. The bus was huge, like climbing a tall step ladder. The driver was good. We had two good guides - Eva and Monica. They pointed out many interesting sites and answered many questions. At the end, there was about an hour stop for shopping at a local... More

Pedra da Gávea offers the most challenging hiking tour in Rio. There are two trails (2.6 KM and 2.3 KM) that will get you up to the top of the rock (approx 900 m high). It will take you about 2.5 hours to get to the top and another 2.5 to 3 hours to get down to ground level. For... More

The hike to Pedra de Gavea was part of my original Rio itinerary. I was lucky to book my hike tour thru Nattrip. I got to hike, rock climb, rapel, and enjoy the views with the help of Daniel (hike guide) who has a big passion for the outdoors and nature. It was a long hike, challenging, but all worth... More

I went for Pedra da Gavea trip which turned out to be a challenging hike, but worth it 100%. Had to stop a few times as it was hot in the jungle (and my form not so great at that time!), but my guide Lucas was very patient and actually stopped perhaps more often than planned for me to take... That was an amazing experience and one of the best things we did in Rio. They come to collect you in your hotel or the closest hotel near you. The boat was perfect, we had space to rest and enjoy thr sun. The islands are breathtaking and definitely worth visiting. The tour goes to 3 different islands; blue lagoon, ilha... More
