This place is worth popping in to see the site of the famous Carnival. It isn't a particularly prepossessing building but a place to imagine the event for 5 minutes before moving on.

Carnival and soccer. You must see this venue and how it was built to accompany such a crowd. The history and preparation time every year for the Carnival is amazing. Definitely a must while in RIO to absorb the culture.
I was there during the carnival final. It is fantastic. The place has a very good energy. And is safe enough for Rio standards.
