Around the Lagoa, you can easily reach Parque Lage, stop for a bite to eat at Palaphita (both included in my Rio de Janeiro trip on my profile), or just hang out in one of the grassy spots. There are city bikes all around the...More

Arguably one of the most beautiful spots in the world, this is a kind of security oasis in a city struck by a non declared civil war. One can walk around or cycle around its waters, with some chance of spotting some wildlife around. Not...More

Hire Bruno with Bike in Rio Tours to take you on a ride along the beaches and lake in the later afternoon. One of the best things we did in Rio!!!

In my opinion having such a big (salt-water) lake in the middle of such a beautiful city is a miracle. It really perfects the city.
