Chateau La Cave is a winery and a restaurant. It is a tourist landmark and also a place for big important events. After running in Caxias downtown, my ti p is to have lunch at Chateau La Cave. The entree is Capeletti soup; after a sequence of cattle and porky meat. My unique disapoitment is the bread. The best match with Capeltti soup is an italian bread instead a france bread.

If visiting the winery it is ok, do not expect to find a real castle. The wine is very good, but the former owner (Juan Carrau) was the real wine genious. Now it belongs to a corporation.
