A beach extremely different from the rest. A magical place that I recommend visiting.
The beach is the same as all the others, but by walking a little you can find a viewpoint and bathing beaches that are hidden treasures. I leave you photos that speak for themselves.

we loved Barra de Lagoa - take a taxi from Florianopolis (about Rs35) - but best to book one to come back and collect you too. In March was very quiet, not all the restaurants still open - but weather still amazing, and seemed to be good surfing if that's your thing. Lunch at the Dos Irmaos very good value and good quality. our favourite beach

This beach is populated year-round. You can listen to rock or reggae around here, with a lively nightlife at peak-season. The water is perfect and refreshing, but not too cold. I love the lighthouse on the beach, and sometimes the water is as calm as a lake. Definitely worth checking out if you're staying in Floripa.

This is one of the most picturesque place on the island. First, there is a lovely beach where surf beginners can practice. Then, this is a charming Portuguese fishing village. The village and the harbor are located on the river that links the backcountry lagoons to the ocean. There are many cormorants waiting for fish. The fishermen are the descendants of Portuguese emigrants from the Azores. The village is also a wildlife center for marine turtles and there is natural park on the shores of the lagoon (Lagoa do Conciçao).

It´s a nice beautiful beach, clean, no pollution, the sea is not rough but sea water is cold. Walking to the left side of the beach it becomes practically deserted (Moçambique beach). The place is quiet, not dangerous but there can be traffic jam on weekends.

A charming town on a big like with scenic views. Take the boat ride around the lake, get off at one of the restaurants around the lake at the dock and have lunch. Catch the next boat back to Lagoa. Take a swim at Bairra da Lagoa.

Great place to chill out for a few days on your travels when in Florianopolis. There are loads of hostels near the beach. The waves are small as the bay is sheltered by a peninsula. The little village here has restaurants, supermarkets, bars. Only issue is the 2 bus rides to get out here from the Rodoviaria in Centro.

I'm an American who lives in Barra six months a year and was attracted to the place by the 15km crescent shaped beach where within a ten minute walk you can be by yourself with the surf and seabirds.
The canal portion of Lagoa is the commercial area but does have too much to offer except seafood restaurants that offer so-so seafood one identical to the next. The area is inexpensive by Florianopolis standards and popular with Argentinians in the summer months

I stayed in a hostel in this area so I really got a good taste for it. There always people walking around and the beach is beautiful and a great place to relax and swim.

Hola comunidad!
