This is one of the most 'popular' beaches, where Bazilian tourist roast their churasco and turn on the music so loud to bust your ears. The most disturbing thing is that there are more than seven used water drainages going straight into the ocean across the beach. Most people will attract deseases from that when it is too late. My advice is to stay away.

Praia dos Ingleses is one of Florianopolis’ finest beaches offering a wide sandy beach with gentle ocean waves to swim in. Praia dos Ingleses has become rather developed with hotels and high-price restaurants.

Unlike Canasvieiras, the Ingleses beach is very wide and the waves are great for body surfing or traditional surfing. Vendors are constantly walking up and down the beach with cold drinks, hot sandwiches, hats and sunglasses. So, you really don’t need to bring much with you. The northern end of the beach is more quiet, with no restaurants or stores accessible. The southern end of the beach gets narrower and there are many more restaurants and small shops. There are lifeguards stationed throughout the beach, which is good because the waves can get quite high here. You have views of some of the smaller offshore islands and you may even see a paraglider or two. At the very southern end of the beach are the dunes

really. be it because i dont like cheap crowds, be it because i dont like argentinians, be it because of stupid prices for even more ignorant people on a cfowded and dirty beach but this beach is the top. worse difficult to find. i dont like mallorca with its masses and rip off mentality but this is even worse. dont even think about wasting time in this terrible place. really. they have an old resort their (costao do santinho)which no idea by means of corruption or lack of competition has been declared best resort of southern brazil. come on. even auschwitz had more charm ( it s allright i am jewish:)

Went yesterday. Discusting open drains with smelly water running into the beach. Full of carts selling food and people on cheap holidays. On the plus side the water is calm, but still cold..... except for the warm waste water that runs into the beach. Needless to say I only speed my feet in the water as after seeing the drains running in we did not stay.

It's very difficult to access this beach as the buildings - houses, hotels, ... - are built on the beach. It's a shame, I don't recommend.

Ingleses is not a pretty sight with too much build-up hotels and accomodation along the beach.

Yes, this is a nice beach with calm water (almost no waves), wonderful for swimming and also for kids, but also very busy. Its a nice white sand ( bit narrow) beach that seems to be very popular with the Argentinians. So there is lots of energy, with many bars and people walking along the beach,

Great waves. Very safe. Lots of great food and drinks available. There are many vendors for all beach needs.

Just because Florianópolis looks like the paradise it doesn't mean every beach is. So, this is not the best place in the island for a beach day. Would not recommend for a few reasons. From December to march is always to crowded (which is not so bad although when the tide is high the sand space is almost nonexistent), the sewage is evident along the whole beach even though what the governamental agency that holds the right to distribution and treatment of water says. Problems such as security and cleanliness add up to the bad review.
You can find ok spots to enjoy a day but to finish the blah blah blah a place to avoid in my humble opinion.
