The bridge is a landmark for Florianopolis. It is at the moment under reconstruction, for an incredible amount of money. It will be a beautiful entrance when you pass the (new) bridge from land-side Florianopolis to island-Floripa. Avoid rush hours or you will for sure...More

A must see. The landmark of Florianopolis is this old beautiful iron bridge. It is currently undergoing a lengthy restoration, but you can easily get an impression of it.

It is an Engineering marvel, but It is not beautiful in itself. If have the time and are around, go to the viewing point. If not, dont bother.

A great view point over the beach and new bridge. Great to see that major renovation work is now being undertaken; this is a piece of engineering that is very worth saving for the future. Good viewed from the sea as well.

This bridge is the symbol of Floripa, you drive around and you can see it from many different angles. This bridge welcomes you when you arrive (you see it from the actual bridge) and says goodbye when you leave. If you love Floripa, this bridge...More
