Neighbourhood: Ibirapuera
Ibirapuera Park, the highlight of this neighbourhood, is a family-friendly area to have a picnic, relax, play sports, exercise or appreciate art. It gets crowded during the weekends and is a popular leisure destination for residents. Its 1,584 square kilometers holds three lakes, two museums and several other cultural spaces. The park hosts a variety of events throughout the year, such as free music concerts and a water and light show celebrating the holidays at the end of the year. There are two important monuments to visit, the Obelisk and the Flag Monument. Ibirapuera is a perfect escape!

Ibirapuera Park is great and close to Staybridge Suites, easy 15 min walk. Park has lots happening at weekend, and on the sunday I was ther a full blown open air orchestra concert with orchestra in black tie etc was playing for the small crowd standing in the rain. Cafes and other areas plus lakes and fountains

The building was designed by Oscar Niemeyer in the 1950s, but it was only constructed in the early 2000s. In addition to fantastic aesthetics, it if also very comfortable with perfect acoustic. It is worthwhile to attend a performance.

While we were roaming around the park we saw this architectural structure that caught our attention because it is so huge and nice. We look closer and we said wow so awesome.

Very nice acoustics, there are many shows very cheap if you get the tickets in advance by wesite. Sometimes, on bigger events , the stage is opening in the back, so you will enjoy the show directly from the grass. but only on special events...jazz, urban experiments.

The Ibirapuera Auditorium was the last building to be built in the park, and I'm glad they did. The internal space is great, and it often opens its backstage door to the park for open-air concerts.

The achitecture of the auditorium itself is a masterpiece and worth some photos. Once inside, the acoustics and setting helps any show to be an experience to remember. If you are lucky enough to watch a performance where they open the back wall that allows the park to be seen from behind the stage, then you are definitely in for a lifetime experience!

This wonderful auditorium was designed by great Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer and is situtated in the middle of the Ibirapuera Park, which is the green lung of São Paulo. It is the venue of choice of excellent music shows due to its bold architecture and perfect acoustics.
