The hippest strip in town, Rua Augusta — especially the gritty but happening stretch north of Avenida Paulista — buzzes with hole-in-the-wall bars, nightclubs thumping from midnight til noon, corner luncheonettes, ethnic eateries, funky clothing stores, rockin' music venues and more than a few grungy strip clubs that are holding on against the tide of gentrification. Rua Augusta pulses as the main artery of São Paulo's nightlife scene, and you'll find a carnivalesque atmosphere almost every night of the week.

It dependes... If go to the `Jardins` side, it's very nice and some nice streets, restaurants, bars and shops. However, if go on the other direction, to the city centre... Walking down gritty Augusta Street on a Saturday night is a blast! It seems like the entire city comes out to see and be seen. A diverse cross section of the city residents makes for interesting juxtaposition. Some intersections are so crowded everyone spills out into the street. A bit shady, sometimes dirty but don't be afraid, everyone is out... More

This street you can divided in two streets. The Downtown area is a live street, with pubs, stand up shows and at the and the Avanhandava Gourmet Street. At the Residential half, Shops, Hotels and Oscar Freire Street a sort of São Paulo"s Via Condotti

Augusta St. is definitely a must see of Sao Paulo's night. You can find everybody (literally) here. Be open mind in every sense of the word and enjoy Augusta's night life. The best way to head to Augusta is by metro (Consolação Station) and walk down the street to downtown. Saturday is the best day. There are also many cinemas,... More

This street is famous for its bars and nightclubs. It still has theatre and places to eat. You can chose whatever you want to eat there you can find it.

This is one of the busiest streets in Sao Paulo. There are few things to do on this street like shopping and eating out but what stand out is the parties that happens here every night. This street gets very full and it's just difficult to move. One of the biggest problem is safety, it's easy to be robbed. The... More

Staying in Jardins

Neighbourhood Profile
Jardins
Located just below important Paulista Avenue, Jardins is the junction of four smaller neighbourhoods: Jardim Paulista, Jardim América, Jardim Europa and Jardim Paulistano. It is an upper-class area, offering a variety of things to do, including shopping, museums and parks. The neighbourhood is well known for “Oscar Freire”– the most luxurious street in the city, packed with high-end boutiques. In Jardins you will also find a trendy museum, São Paulo Museum of Image and Sound (MIS), which people often line up for hours to visit. If green space is what you're after, take time to relax at Trianon Park, a refuge in the heart of Paulista Avenue.
