Very good bookshop where you can find almost all kinds of books. If they don't have it they will get it for you elsewhere, But forget coffee... terrible service, very expensive, all table are usually dirty, no one to clean... well, go and get it somewhere else.

I love to go by not only to check for new books, read a little, but also for a coffee, quick informal meetings, see people. the parking lot is quite expensive. People come from all over Sao Paulo just to have fun or meet people in a quieter place. The lectures are always the best. Usually for free but you... More

I absolutely adored this bookstore, it was huge and also very beautiful - I could have spent hours in here. I was after a particular English book (which I couldn't find at about 10 other book shops around Rio and São Paulo) and they happened to have three copies available. If you love books, then this is a must visit... More

Huge bookstore in the heart of Sao Paulo - @ Av. Paulista! A must to see if you are in Sao Paulo, due to huge selection of books, including English books as well. Products are over priced, but it is a nice place to find a book or have a coffee, but there are better Cafes at Av. Paulista region.... More

Cultura is no longer the place it used to be, a place to go there and check your books with kind salespeople ready to help you, they knew every bit of the store! It was a cosy place, which you could go for a quick shop or just to remain there for hours... Now, it is an overcrowed place with... More

It's a huge bookstore! It's a great place to go, to buy books or just to visit! You can spend hours browsing through the shelves. It's worth the visit if you're nearby, walking on the Paulista Avenue.

It used to be a movie theatre. It has lots of space and it is easy to find what you are looking for. Most of titles are in Portuguese but you can many titles in other languages, mainly English, Spanish and French. Definitely a bookstore to visit if you are in São Paulo.

in a ample space you'll find an enormous variety of titles, both technical and fiction. Nice couches for you to browse the books.

Staying in Jardins

Neighbourhood Profile
Jardins
Located just below important Paulista Avenue, Jardins is the junction of four smaller neighbourhoods: Jardim Paulista, Jardim América, Jardim Europa and Jardim Paulistano. It is an upper-class area, offering a variety of things to do, including shopping, museums and parks. The neighbourhood is well known for “Oscar Freire”– the most luxurious street in the city, packed with high-end boutiques. In Jardins you will also find a trendy museum, São Paulo Museum of Image and Sound (MIS), which people often line up for hours to visit. If green space is what you're after, take time to relax at Trianon Park, a refuge in the heart of Paulista Avenue.
