Our family stayed at Lázaro beach, in the south of Ubatuba, but Almada beach was on our itinerary (it is located in the far north, close to the border with the city of Paraty/RJ). It was a 1:30 hour drive on the way there and another 1:30 hour drive on the way back; the highway was good and not very busy (we went in low season). I believe that in high season, this same route would take much longer. We used Caju Bar as our structure on this beach (if you want, you can go there and see my review of this bar). The beach is small, but with a "comfortable" strip of sand; In addition to this bar, there were others as well as an inn and houses for rent. The sea is calm, suitable for children and the elderly. And the view is breathtaking: exuberant nature. For those who want peace and "isolation from the world", I recommend staying at this beach. It's really worth visiting this beautiful beach.
P.S.: since the end of 2023, a tourist value tax (TPA) of R$13.00 per vehicle per day has been paid.

The beach itself is very quiet (sea). Indicated for children, the elderly and people who have difficulty in movement. We went on a Tuesday in January and it was full! In the sand is a little hard to stay without being in the kiosks or restaurants because they took the whole strip of sand! We paid $50 just for parking that's inside a restaurant called: Almada, super elegant but with very high prices and minimum consumption of $100 per person...we went a little further to the left and we ended up in one whose consumption per person was $50 and the prices practiced much more affordable (I left pictures from the menu)! We liked the beach a lot and we had a very nice day!

Very pretty, has a wave well at the end q can pull you kkkkkkkk, but nothing too much tbm. Access is easy, but the prices, very absurd, dishes from 280 reais. A cool thing is the kayak/stand-up q ride, unlike the meals, it's quite cheap. I went for 30 minutes for 30 reals and the boy charges the kayak and not the people.

The landscape on the route that connects the highway to the beach is more worth it than the beach itself. Arriving downstairs to access the beach the unpleasantness begins: all parking costs 40$. After stopping at one, I went to take chairs and umbrellas out of the car and an “attendant” almost forced us not to take them, as according to him everything was already ready on the beach. Luckily my girlfriend asked how much it would be, and he then said “it’s only $50 per person”. So just to give you an idea, a couple already gets there losing practically 150 reais. About the beach itself: small, and dirty-looking water (sand with little pieces of wood, etc.). Practically no waves (if you like beaches like this due to children/elderly people, consider going to Lagoinha or Ubatumirim.

The beach is beautiful but to get by land there is a very narrow mountain with a hill side scary, for those who are afraid of heights like me is terrible. The sand strip is small and the beach is quite crowded. It was the only beach where I found parking for 40 reais and the kiosks are out of the average, individual dishes for 150 reais and for families for 750 reais, beer for 25 reais.

A shame, a beach that I liked so much, parking 50 reais. They claim that there is shadow so the value, but the shadow eh only about 5 places the rest is in the sun. Super charged bars forcing to consume the minimum. We won't go anymore

Well, the place is extremely beautiful. I even took a sketchbook and drew the landscape, there are lots of things to eat there and so on. I recommend you go. And I've been going to this beach for a long time and I think it's wonderful, the water is calm and so on.

This use to be my favorite ( non-island beach) in the Paraty, Ubatuba area but the last 2 times we went it was so overly packed it was hard to find anywhere to sit. Getting service at the big restaurant there took an awfully long time and $20 reais parking fee is always kinda annoying too. Prettier, less crowded beaches with free parking are all around .

Takes a bit of a drive to get there but it's well worth it! The bay is absolutely gorgeous and very tranquil, and Caju bar is one of the best places around for a nice cocktail and bite to eat.

Good structure around, calm sea waves and nice landscape. Perfect for real relaxing despite the location to be far from downtown.
