Located on Orla de Italaia, just over 500m from Passarela do Caranguejo, this monument is one of the most important and visited postcards of the city of Aracaju. Its arches symbolize Progress, Future and Prosperity. In this place you can also find the Eu amo Aracaju sign.

The new Atalaia waterfront has several kilometers and lots of things to do. There are several restaurants, tents to eat, several places to play, playgrounds, few stores, an small aquarium and sometimes some show. Good for a walk in the evening after a day at the beach.

In summer evenings this is the place to end your day. No matter how hot the day is, there is always a breeze to cool you off. Grab a seat, enjoy some ice cream or one of the local delicacies. Stroll and let your worries go away as you hear the sounds that come from the sea.

Nothing else. It's worth a photo if you're on Avenida Atalaia. The crab, another photo spot, is very close. It's better to take a walk along the shore. Between the arches and the Tamar project, the latter is unmissable

Orla de Atalaia is a place to spend the day. There are many attractions. You can enjoy your time skating, playing tennis or other sports, buying or just looking the handcrafts, wlaking around, riding bike as well. There are bikes to rent, and places around the lakes for a pic nic. It is also a place where you can find good restaurants, hotels or even a place for ice cream, snacs or açai. In orla de Aracaju you can also find the Oceanarium where you can appreciate how the PROJETO TAMAR deals with the nature.

Best place in town to go for a ride. There is a bike lane behind the bars and restaurants that is usually safe and well taken care.

Two highly positive things about the Atalaia front shore: great sidewalks to exercise in the morning (clean, smooth and with nice food stands); adequately featuring restaurants and bars which are open past midnight and nobody to say you can’t stay. If you’re at pousadas and hotels that don’t have services neither bars, just take a walk. Service can be very friendly and you can consume according to your budget.

It's a very cool place to go and just have a walk, or take a look at the various shops in the local market, or have a great meal at some great restaurant located there. You can also taste a great Brazilian food, the "açaí", which tastes incredibly good. It's not one of the most beautiful compared to the Fortaleza's one, Maceio or Rio de Janeiro, however it's very cool.

Comparing all the orlas of Brazilian northeast this was the least attractive. Still if you come to town worth a visit. The night is very pleasant to stroll along the walk path.
