I say quirky because not only is there a huge area of water covered in lotuses, there is an 'ornamental' garden featuring grass, flowering trees and shrubs with little areas for sitting on wooden benches, in the tree house, cross the wooden bridge or sit on the swing. Need a tuk-tuk ride to go as it's located at the contry side. Looking at this large lotus farms with all blooming lotus standing tall in the pond, the feelings are so relief! There is also a chance to know that eco textile can be made from the fiber of lotus flowers stems. This is absolutely Lotus's lovers paradise

Really nice sightseeing: lotus, mountain, rice fields, fishers....and the Lotus Center ! In this heaven far from everything we dicover a new handicraft which aim to extract the fiber from the lotus to spin it in a regular and smooth thread and then to make a exclusive fabric for clothing. Not cheap but when you learn about the time to... More

I did my best pictures during my visit to the amazing lotus farm. The lake is very huge (40km) and the lotus are giant (until 50cm diameter). Located at only 30 minutes from Battambang, I recommend you to visit it at sunset when the light on the lake is splendid. We were also very impressed to discover the fabrication of... More
