Lovely trip - Fully recommend it

Lovely way to spend a few hours cruising along the river. Great photo opportunites of fishing and rural life by the water. Guide is the boat owner and lives on the river. Well worthwhile.

I mad the choice of taking this 2h trip and then reach Siem Reap by bus (3h instead of 7 to 8h by boat) and I am very happy with this choice. This is the best way to avoid touristic trips: we were 2 + the 2 owners, we had time to discuss about the river, its people, their occupations,... More

Thoroughly enjoyed a pleasant two hour boat trip on the river being able to see life from the water perspective. Passed a Muslim village where they were repairing the water lines up the river bank to the village, kids playing, men fishing and more. The motor did die at one point but after multiple attempts, the two young guys manning... More

I greatly enjoyed my 5 day stay in Battambang and this trip down the river was the perfect culmination of my entire 4 weeks in Cambodia. I managed to get a cruise leaving at 5pm (apparently this was actually a mistake by the girl who was working in Gecko when I booked but worked out perfectly for me!) which was... More

My guide took me upriver for two hours; then brought me home by tuk tuk. A good deal for $20. IMO it is too hot to go even at 8 am, so we left at 6. That proved wise, as we saw the people in various villages bathing in the shallows, boats full of goats being taken to market, &... More

Swimming, fishing, paddling, playing, bathing, working, cooking, sleeping: you can see it all on this gentle trip up and down Battambang's Sangker River. While signage at the Gecko restaurant offered only early afternoon boat trips- an awful time if it is photographs that you are after, or, if you just want to miss the heat of the day- it was... Our group had 10 people so we had the special rate from this boat. The family meal was delicious and hearty. We loved it most at the “bamboo corner” where we had a nice backgroudn for the phototaking.

My wife and I, took this cruise up the river to see the real Cambodia. It was such a nice trip for an hour. We took some of our best pictures of the Cambodian Countryside and people. Very relaxing and great service.
