We visited the ancient Hindu Temple (ruins), Ek Phnom Temple, which was built in the 11th century, along with the adjacent modern pagoda & Giant Buddha! The Buddha is only about 15 years old!
The temple is not in the best condition.

Yes, we got to go visit this place. I like these old archaeological temple more than the more modern ones. Some beautiful little kittens came out from under the fallen masonery. Take some cat food if you visit her in future!

Wonderful little temple on the outskirts of Battambang. And next to it is a large Buddha which is very picturesque. It doesn't compare to the temples of Angkor Wat but if you are in the area definately worth a visit.

This is one of the best photo opportunities I’ve seen during my visit to Battambang. The ancient ruins are surrounded by flowering plants of many different colours. The half day tour by Tuk Tuk was a highlight.

This is your typical “temple visit” in Cambodia unless you visit it during the new year (which is when I went). The , it is a wild festival!

There is a modern temple, along with ruins and Buddha statues. You have to pay an entrance fee.

If you are interested in seeing temples in Battambang, hire a tuk-tuk driver to give you a tour. We did and we saw three different temples, an alligator farm, the killing caves and bat caves, a rice wine vinegar distillery, and more all in one day. It’s better to do it that way, in my opinion :)

Also, some drivers speak English and like to help you and/or teach you about their country, which is cool.
