We were looking forward to visiting this Museum since booking our holiday; unfortunately most of the building was closed for restoration and renovation and we were only allowed entry to the "sample rooms" near the entrance. A few very interesting objects on display but we...More

Your opportunity to see an Easter island statue up close and it's free! There's a few interesting bits, but no English commentary

This museum is just the right balance, small enough to hold your interest and well laid out, lots of interesting things and especially the Moai from Easter Island, exciting to see it close up definitely worth a visit.

At the top of the street blocks away from the main square this neat free museum has many artifacts relating to first nation people and their migration around the area. There is also a Moai from Easter Island to view.

The exhibits are perfect. Not only do you find interesting archaeological artifacts from the mainland of Chile, but there is a quite interesting Moai from Easter Island, along with other artifacts from the island. The museum is a delight not to be missed.

This was a small museum but the history of the area was well displayed. It would be helpful to have a guide to assist in translating the displays as they are in Spanish.

This little museum is worth a visit especially for the "moui" - one of the actual statues from Easter Island. There are other nice exhibits and the museum is clean and not overcrowded.
