We were the first group to arrive at this beautiful natural Reserve which is protected by the government. Chileans are very proud of the way they take care of their resources. Once we arrived walked the "Salar" salt area for a good hour enjoying the view of the flamingos and other native bird species. It's a great area for nature... More

we went on our own although there are many tours you can use, this is a very interesting place with light walking involved, a guide there told us about it which was a added bonus as we were not with a tour, like all the places we visited please take plenty of water and snacks with you

Best company to do with, second minibus to arrive, best breakfast. The flamingo's are not seen close up. Still worthwhile to do particularly as part of the other Laguna trip.

From all the places around Atacama, here you can see flamingos quite closely. They tend to fly from one lagoon to the other and pas you overhead. So it's a good location to see these birds. Early in the morning it gets quite chilly so a wind breaker and some layers are recommended. I wouldn't stay here more than 30... More

This place is a must see in the Atacama Desert. To have the opportunity to see the Flamingos in their habitat and to get really close to them is amazing. The scenery is also something from another planet due to the salt concentration.

We one there as apart of another trip to the salt flats. Quite nice lake... but there were maybe 20-30 flamingos... not sure where they were and no-one had an explanation. My advice? Check they're there first

seeing flamingos in this dry desolate type landscape was incredible. The contrast of the colours with their bright pinks and then the bland colours of the landscape was so incredible

Playing on words with the title but I loved the opportunity to get so close to the flamingoes here and watch them go about their business unconcerned with the tourists snapping photos. This was my first view of flamingoes in SA so it was even more special. I also enjoyed reading the info on offer, and learning a little more... More

there were not a lot of flamingoes the day we visited. And they are pretty far away so don't plan on great pics. Also quite hot and can be many people. We saw much better flamingo flocks in either parts of Chile.

Amazing landscape with flamingos (Andean and Chilean) salt, and volcanos. It a well presented tourist path with clear marked areas. A number of the flamingoes had a sandpaper as a feeding companion.
