Museum did a good job in outlining the history of Chile from pre-Columbian to present day. Get the audio tour which is offered in multiple languages.

Totally worth it. Covered each era from pre-historic to modern Chile, and had beautiful grounds, cafe and gift shop. It deserved more time, but we greatly appreciated the experience. Having done many museums around the world, we were thoroughly impressed.

This is a "must-see" museum. The collection is so varied and extensive that you need more than one visit to see it.

Who would have thought such a Museum was in the middle of Santa Cruz. This museum has a large collection of artifacts from across different time periods including some more unique topics such as: carriages, weapons across time, and the chilean miner rescue. You can...More

Being in the countryside we didn't expect such a well varied and educational museum that covers many many topics from fossils to (almost) present time. What makes it even more exceptional is the fact, that a lot of their artefacts were lost in the great...More

It's an incredible collection of artefacts from fossils to typewriters. It's kind of bizarre but that's because it's compressed into a smaller area than the collection deserves. The precolombian artefacts rival those of the museum in Santiago. The Chilean miners rescue exhibit is actually quite...More

Nice museum. For us the collection was a bit to broad, could have had more focus on Chile. The exposition around the mine accident (2010) was extremely impressive.

Great museum, audio guides in multiple languages. Ticket good for 24 hours. A great collection of artifacts detailing this history of Chile.

If you compare it with other museums in big cities it probably will not bear comparison , but in its context it is worth visiting beacuase it represents the region and its cultural location

The museum is much more extensive than it appears from the street. It contains many rooms and many interesting and well done exhibits, particularly the one on huasos & country culture.

Hi, We didn't use an audio guide but it didn't really make much difference.
