You begin with the cable car that leads you just near the top. I am not a climber so the ride was a godsend. The ride itself is short but picture perfect. Then the climb to the peak is not that difficult at all. Be prepared for tour groups pushing their way past you but the views are well worth... More

Most delicate and beautiful peak in Hunagshan Park. A lot a walking and climbing. Not far from Bei-Hai Hotel.

Depending on the weather this peak can range from startlingly beautiful to more of a run of the mill "wow"! (sic) Actually the worse the weather, think long hanging clouds, the more striking this can be, so please don't be afraid of weather forecasts here...

Shixin peak is the first big stop from Yungu gondola. In some ways the scenery is even better with clouds boiling around the peaks, I saw it in sunshine too. Breathtaking because most people arrive out of breath even though it is a short climb.

This peak carries a beautiful name that is difficult for any other language to successfully translate it, and certainly I am not among those capable of doing it. Anyway, I will try a different way therefore people would understand better... Most of the famous scenic spots in China associated with a historical significance, usually a poem, a poet or scholar... Shixin Peak (or Beginning-to-Believe Peak, as it is indicated on many maps) is a short and easy detour from the hike up the Huangshan Mountain. It is absolutely worth visiting, as the views are amazing and different from the vistas you'll see in other parts of the mountain. There are several viewing platforms overlooking a deep and uninhabited valley punctuated... More
