We had day tour as part of our Sinorama tour of China. The tour bus departed our Huangshan hotel at 08:30 for a 1 hour bus ride to the Yellow Mountain City (Huangshan). Arrived at the bus parking lot where we transferred to a smaller shuttle bus for a ride to the base of the gondola. First our local tour... More

One of the msot beautiful sunrises I've ever seen... Please go visit. Even in the cold weather, it's very beautiful. Barely any tourists. I booked a hostel room on the mountain and I had it all to my self. ;)

To begin with, we traveled to 黄山 during beginning of December, when some of the peaks are closed and also West Sea region is not open. The good thing was weather, which was very good. YOU SHOULD ABSOLUTELY PAY ATTENTION TO WEATHER. So, we started our trip early in the morning at 8 am, after having a breakfast in the... More

I spent two full days in the Yellow Mountains and both days the weather was phenomenal except during sunset and sunrise when the clouds came in and the view was entirely obstructed. The hotels on top of the mountain are very expensive and even during the off season, they were sold out. My friend and I slept in the freezing... More

The most beautiful mountain we have ever been to! However, Mother Nature doesn't always corporate - this mountain rains about 200+ days out of the year. When it rains, you won't see anything, so watch the weather forecast and plan your trip accordingly. We were there in mid-November; we had rain and fog one day, snow the next, and sunshine... More

Initially we planned to stay overnight but the weather was look gloomy, cloudy and the forecast for the next day was not good so we decided to take the day trip and took 2 different entries, West and East, but the West (Yuping) was closed due to maintenance, so we took Yungu both ways. It was not busy at all... More

Be sure to take the cable car all the way up then climb down. We made the mistake of trying to climb up the whole way, which will take all day. Make sure you bring water, but they sell some for quite a bit on the way. Beautiful scenery and lots of photo ops. Pay the cheap $3-$5 professional ones... More

I said this "I will not come again even it is free" when I was in the mountain. But I changed my mind once I came down from the mountain, and I guess i really like the mountain. Too bad... it was too foggy .

I spent two days at the mountain. We were very lucky that the prices decrease in December, but also some cable cars are out of service. So I recommend to bring enough food, drinks and to exercise your legs (especially the calf for the way downwards). We had a lot of sun so we had a lovely view. You should... More

We were so lucky to go up to the Yellow Mountain on a clear day. The views were stunning and unique. You take a long cable car ride up and can continue climbing, get carried up on a chair carried by locals or just enjoy the view from there.
