Was wondering why did place called itself a "Shiwai Taoyuan" as it means a beautiful and secluded place. It is not easy to lift up to that expectation. When we arrived, it was drizzling, which added in the mysterious, misty and romantic effect. We visited the place with a boat ride and there were houses which housed the different ethnics... More

I paid RMB120 in extra for this additional attraction. We were arranged to take a boat journey for about 45 minutes and then free time of 45 minutes within the park. I found that visitors were mainly Asians. It was too artificial and commercial because people were employed as actors and actress to serve us.

I booked a tour to get to this place, which costs a bit more but I didn't have to worry about transportation. Once we got there, the guide booked tickets for us and we just had to wait in line. But what a line it was...there were so, so many people there. The line to the bathroom took almost 30... More

According to my guide, this place is invested by Taiwanese who stumbled upon this part of the river. After a short walk from the entrance, we took a boat ride which passed by some hut with staged tribal dance. After about 20 min, we came back to the other side of the main building. They served some sweet wine to... More

It cost a a few hundred to get there from Yangshuo. Then it cost 100rmb for entrance fees. There's a boatride that takes you along staged cultural view of minority groups. There isn't much to view in terms of walking around. When exiting, you are forced to go through buildings selling you souvenirs and knick knacks. We were out within... More

Estimate 2hours at here including a 30minute boat ride. Every boat is given one tourist guide to explain the ethnic people from China, from their daily activities and their cultures. After the boat ride, you can walk around a to witness some of the fun activities around there. worth the visit.
