Great little museum--quite informative. Good for kids--plenty of history. Tucked quietly away in South East Lake neighborhood near Shuttlesworrth Airport, this museum was a pleasant surprise.

If you are a flying enthusiast, do NOT miss this museum. It's really outstanding with some unusual surprises (not telling you so you have to find out for yourself)!

This a a nice place for people interested in flight. Many figures and lots of information that will help you understand the history of flight. There are classes available for groups.

One of my favorite modern history museums. Great collection with truly one-of-a-kind exhibits. The only drawback is that it is in an inconvenient part of town (understandable because it is out by the airport).

Good place to let kids see history. Great way to get them exploring history. There are great exhibits, and usually is not too crowded. Great family place, especially for for slightly older kids.

Check BirminghamGroupon. We had a party of 8 and was able to get 8 tickets @ $28.00. It averaged out to $3.50 a ticket. Groupon offered a discount on top of that. So for 8 admission around $25.00 which was a good deal.

Hi Matt You can walk the museum in about one hour but it depends on how a fan you are and if you are taking children My husband loves aviation so we spent more than two hours inside.

That exhibit is the Korean War Jets exhibit. The defecting pilot was Lt. No Kum Sok, know as Ken Rowe when he became an American citizen. Ken is 85 years old now. I talk with him several times a year.
