We have visited Birmingham many times but never went to the museum of flight. We took our 3 and 5 yr old grandsons and had a great time. They loved the airplanes and the different videos. We were the only people there, which is a shame because it is really a nice place to spend the morning on a hot... More

Nice museum, with many airplanes, and simulators for big kids! Also, a playroom for little ones. Clean bathrooms! Worth stopping by and spending a few hours there. If you traveling cross country it is a nice stop with the family!

I did not have high hopes for this museum - but I was pleasantly surprised. They have some awesome helicopters, flight simulators (we kept crashing), aircraft carrier models (two of them), and cut-away engine examples. It was in a strange location - but aside from that, this place is worth the visit. Admission was 7$ for adults.

Up and coming museum with lots of great airplanes, artwork of the Tuskegee Airmen, a Hall of Fame, and airplane motors to check out. Some displays are "in progress," but those that are complete are great with motion activated sound effects and info. Paid $7 per adult. Well worth the price!

As a pilot I truly enjoyed the museum. It features civilian and military aircraft. Also provides some history on navigation instruments. There are some neat pictures and items from the SR-71 blackbird.

It has very interesting exhibits for adults and children. Very friendly and hospitable staff. Not too big so kids and adults don't get bored with the length of a visit there.
