Past its prime

Very little activity here anymore. It is sad to see a historic place go unused and allowed to run down.

Another institution in Birmingham! Yes, Legion Field has seen better days, but it brings back such good memories. Once upon a time, the Alabama-Auburn football game was played here EVERY year (before they moved to the individual campuses). High school games still take place here on Friday nights in the Fall. And not to be left out, there is even... More

Awesome time as always! Ridiculous food and drink prices. Bathrooms were cleaner this year. Good upkeep of the building.

It's that time of year again, time for football and a battle of the bands. Time to eat drink and be merry 2015 was a great time and 2016 will be even better, and this year i don't have to chapperone.

As usual my family and I have a great time! The people from Alabama made us feel right at home...the stadium was big enough to handle the crowd and I was pleased with my seating!! The game was great and the LOVE from the locals was unbelievable.

Go visit before it comes down. the stadium has seen better days, but it is still OK for a game or twl. Has not been really updated since the 70s.

Parking was horrible. The field is getting run down and needs a complete make over. Tight seating. Saw a soccer game. Need more concessions and bathrooms. Long lines at the bathrooms.

We were excited about seeing the place Bear Bryant made famous. It is awe-inspiring to see his bust out front and imagine all the people in the stands for the Iron Bowl. This is also where the movie Woodlawn was made! I just wish we could have viewed the inside of the stadium. Our next trip to Birmingham will do... More

Let me just put it out there, Legion Field is due for a major face lift period, and please let's get it done sooner than later.

To think this place was the home of the Iron Bowl. This place has gone downhill since then. I was there for the Birmingham Bowl this year. It amazed me how much peeling paint and rusting structural steel I saw throughout the place. My daughter asked me if high school teams played here since it reminded her of the stadiums... More
