Who knew that Birmingham houses the world’s largest cast iron statue, of Vulcan, or that his inconvenient nudity has influenced where he is able to be displayed, or that Birmingham is a modern town with a past as a major steel producer during WW2? Always...More

The history lesson we seniors got was so we'll worth the visit to the top and the view of the entire city of Birmingham on such a beautifully clear and sunny day was awesome. The tour guides were so friendly and knowledgeable about everything.

Vulcan park is a great place for those interested in a quiet time learning about area history, enjoying a great view, and enjoying some pleasant time outdoors. Not great for super active kids.

In Birmingham for the weekend. This was a must stop for me, and I wasn't disappointed. The view was gorgeous and the museum, while small, was informative and enjoyable. Would definitely stop in again.

We walked up the hill to the park, even after being warned about it! Good solid hike uphill - without the benefit of good sidewalks, or sometimes any at all. It was worth it. The museum was very interesting about the history of the city...More

We were only in Birmingham for lunch, and stopped here on our way out of town. The view is great (and free, but the visitors center and elevator view are cheap). Some people were eating a cake at a table. Lots of people seemed to...More
