Learned more about Birmingham than I ever knew. Los of fun for kids and adults. But bring your Dramamine, the trip up in a car was a bit much, and if you hate heights, be cautious.

We visited this museum and park when I was a teenager. We were stationed at Fort Rucker and made trips all over the state. The Statue back then was well kept. Today, it is tarnished, and not very appealing. The park itself was not well maintained....More

Small park with a nice climb or elevator ride up to walkway around the base of the statue. Staff member taking tickets was fun to chat with and the museum gave a lot of information about Birmingham which I knew very little about.

We went on Labor Day weekend. The view is phenomenal. We chose to not go up in the elevator because of the time of day but regardless, it was beautiful!

Great view of the city from the top of the monument. Comprehensive museum of how the Iron ore mines contributed to the development of Birmingham.

This attraction is very nice--the view is outstanding and the museum is very good. Wish we could still go up further--closer to Vulcan. I also miss the light he used to hold even though it's in the museum. I used to always look for that...More

The paths in this park are very steep and not too long. You,d be better off riding somewhere else. There were several cars in the parking lot with bike racks attached. The bikes were in the racks, none were in use,
