We hired a driver/guide to take us from Chengdu to Leshan to see the Giant Buddha. About a 2 hour drive but well worth it. It us an outstanding feature. The workmanship required to sculpt it out of the mountain is hard to comprehend.

Hi 8Lala - yes it is possible to do both together. To achieve this though you need to arrive Leshan early in the morning which means taking the 6:30AM or 7:30AM train from Chengdu or staying the night in Leshan. You can do... More
