Our first stop on our way from Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou after we agreed to pay extra for this site and a few other add-ons. Mounigou is off the main highway into a more remote area with not too many visitors. There is a huge parking lot with a good size visitor center as we began our walk to the waterfalls.... More

It was snowing on the day we visited, making it a completely different scene from Jiuzhaigou. There were not as much visitors compared to Jiuzhaigou, making it a better attraction to visit ( too many visitors can simply spoil your holiday mood...) There was just our family at part of the walking trail and it just made our visit perfect!... More

Though smaller than the more famous Jiuzhaigou, Munigou's exquisite beauty nowhere pales in comparison! In fact, I enjoyed Munigou more than JZG since there was no crowd. The smaller size made it more walkable for the average traveller. My friend and I hired a driver for the day. This allowed us to take all the time we liked in Munigou... More

Right after a heavy snow fall the night before, we arrived at Munigou the next morning to be greeted by powdery snow left on pines. It was foggy along the way to the resort. The waterfall was refreshing. Some of the tracks up the waterfall were closed due to the dangerous icy paths. However the scenery was just as breath-taking... More

Tourists tend to compare Munigou with Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong, and said that it is not that worth. Yes, it is smaller (so is the entrance fee) but it has it's own charm, esp when it is less crowded and easier to cover the park. We were lucky to be there on a good day in early Nov13; cold air but... More

This site is so underated. The chinese prefer to go to Huanglong because it is very known but this site was less crowded( great for pictures). We met less then 20 persons during the 3 hours walk. The site is well maintained and the plank roads makes the walk very easy. this site is splitted in two. You have to... More
