The lake is situated a reasonable distance from Dali and we travelled by car. The journey was interesting as it travelled through a fruit growing area and there were oceans of pink blossom, a joy for a gardener like me. You are taken to a...More

You should rent a ebike and go there to see how big is this lake. It's not incredible but you have to see it if you go to Dali. You can ride across the border and we will find some nice spots to take pictures

Lovely rural spot with excellent views of the lake. Lots of birds if you like bird watching. Sadly the coffee shop was not open despite the signs. Tricky driving there especially after heavy rain.

I rented a bike in Dali old town and biked through the countryside to the river. It was a highlight of my trip and worth the 20RMB

This is a beautiful and reflective lake in Dali. I would advise anyone visiting to get a bike and look at a map of the local area for the road which runs alongside the west side of the lake. Drive along this road and find...More

Erhai Lake is in a beautiful setting. We went on a lake cruise. The boat was very basic and there was no narration either in Chinese or English. The views were nice but not much more than you could see from shore.

Interesting place to visit and tour by boat across to a fishing village and the lifestyle of china bordering on ancient times to the future. Beautiful scenery along this 56 klms lake bordered by snow capped mountain ranges and fertile garden city.

We took a 45 minutes domestic flight from Kunming to Dali on 16 Apr 2017 to continue with our tour of Yunnan attractions. Our tour guide Carrie in her colourful traditional Bai costume was in the Dali airport to receive us. As we are travelling,...More

HI, I actually did not know the town but I believe those saying Longkan are correct. We just showed the taxi driver Caicun on a map because we thought it was there and she figured it out and took us to the dock. Remember... More
