Overall it was a good show. However, as it was open air, the weather made us unbearable. A moment of raining, a moment of hot sunny. We are caught in wearing raincoat as it was raining during the waiting time. There after, it was sunny...More
I love these kind of show, but really. Extremely overpriced, very old, boring. The show was fully booked and when I turned around to see people around me, they basically just dozed off.
The only nice things to see is the background view of the...More
Heard so much about the creation by famous Chinese director Zhang Yimou. The show is staged in the open space 3,100m above sea level with Yulong Snow Mountain as it's backdrop.
We decided not to give it a miss though the ticket is not cheap. RMB190...More
Nice show with the mountains in the backdrop.
The minority groups were very enthusiastic in introducing their own special practices/ culture. Well choreographer and the performers were correct to emphasise that they are not actors, but sharing with us their culture through the performances.

There are a couple of shows a day but depending on the season. I caught the one at 11am. Tickets are available at the entrance, costs about Rmb200. Get there early as it can get really crowded as the amphitheater sits many.
