A bit pricey, but good food and music. We traveled at the very end of the peak season, so it was not very busy. Great atmosphere, but you can find cheaper places off the main street that serves similar foods for much less.
Was trying to enter the street to look for dinner. The aggressive touting by staff from stalls turned us off.
We didn't even have a chance to enter the street with stall holders showing us menus in our face and talking so quickly trying to...More
Spent several ocassions here and it was always interesting to see the passing parade and colourful characters. The area although dusty was kept clean. Amused by todlers with their split pants having a pee in the street... but this is China.
This area has a lot of restaurants, most of them with local food. English menus are available also. A few restaurants are a bit noisy. The bars have live music, which could be a down side according to you music preferences.
My daughter and I visited Lijiang but were trying to avoid the noisy restaurants there. Our solution: we had dinner in Shuhe. We greatly enjoyed the Naxi food there and would recommend the food street to noisy Lijiang
And more authentic dishes as in Lijiang. In line with this: harder to order or Pick in Chinese as little/no English help will be given :-)
But after a few weeks in China we managed to get a delicious lunch here.
