Awe inspiring area, with a cable car ride from 1600 to 3800 metres above sea level, there is a Tibetan shrine that is worth a visit. If it is too windy no cable car, views of the glaciers splendid. Take warm clothes .

I really enjoyed the detour to the Blue Moon Valley during our visit to Yulong Snow Mountain. You can get wonderful views of the mountain & the beautiful crystal clear blue lake. Nice leisurely walk in the valley with lovely spring weather.

Some of it is artificial, and there are tour groups, but if you go with a guide they know the small paths to more scenic spots in this area

I came here unexpectedly as a part of a tour to Yulong Mountain, so perhaps it was because I had no expectations but I truly enjoyed our time here and found it worthwhile. The weather was absolutely gorgeous, as was the water. I love how...More

A nice place with beautiful yulong snow mountain as background. The only pity is that the Chinese are remaking existing natural lakes into supposedly more beautiful artificial ones.

We came here on the shuttle bus from Yulong mountain and it was absolutely beautiful. The clearest water I have seen in a long time! Would recommend walking around the water and spending a fair amount of time here, not just staying for photos as...More

After coming down from the mountain we walked through this scenic valley. Civilized/urbanized as in most major attractions in China but still worth seeing. Especially if you are going up the mountain as the fee for the mountain includes this valley and other things. Our...More

Was beautiful well worth the effort getting there, but the ques were huge. Allow plenty of time. Walking down most of it is faster than waiting for the electric carts that ferry people around.

You can certainly buy an entrance ticket and walk around. We travelled by an organised day trip and I guess that is the best way of doing it unless you speak Chinese and want to get there independently.
