Relaxing
Aug. 2018 • Family
Only had drinks here. Ocean view bar next to a tiny pebble bat which allowed my child to run in and out of the water. Yeh water there was very calm and the area had a relaxing feel around it, bar staff were polite and friendly. Average prices for drinks not cheap but not too much.

Quirky, tasty, fun dining with a Pessimistic Philosophical Waiter
Aug. 2016 • Couples
We had two interesting, perhaps even quirky, dining experiences after landing in Bol. Both positive. They made us smile. One day we popped into Yolo food bar for a late lunch. The young waiter greeted us and I returned the greeting with “How are you?” His response, “Depends what you order. You want drinks?” He was happier when we ordered lunch. When he brought the food he offered, “Only two months before I go on holidays”. When we asked where he was going, he said, “I live in Bol. Anywhere but here”. It reminded us of the concierge at Lake Bled when we said it was a great place to live and work. He said plainly, “We don’t notice it”. Finally, after we paid and were leaving Yolo, he wished us, “Have a good night…because I won’t.” Sounds like it was going to be a long shift. It was both funny and melancholic. We left a tip. We will remember the Pessimistic Waiter. After having a fine Croatian red and a plate of nibbles while watching the sun set again (it happens everyday), we stopped at Yolo again for dinner. Mmmmmm, black cuttlefish risotto. Might as well enjoy the seafood while we can. We saw on the menu that YOLO is an anagram for You Only Live Once (a bit James Bond-ish). And yes, the pessimistic waiter was on duty. He used the same intro--how he feels depends on what we order. We thought, he has no new material but when we said we’d had wine and didn’t want drinks, he came back with, “So, don’t blame me if you get thirsty” and he remembered what we’d ordered for lunch the previous day. A couple of times he let us know our meals would arrive soon. On the second occasion, he mentioned there was a delay because a large group had ordered a stack of burgers. Then, in reference to us not ordering drinks and the extra wait for our meals, he offered, “It is delusional time because you don’t have any drinks”. Big smiles all round. That gets him an upgrade to Philosophical Pessimist. Anyone who speaks English as a second language and can include the word “delusional” in reference to the waiting time for food and drinks gets full marks. Finally, “Can we have the bill?” His reply? “No”.
As we left, I said, “I like your style”. He replied, “I must be funny…or go mad”. Perhaps he has blogs called “Annoying Tourists and More Annoying Tourists: They’re Back and Why do These Annoying Tourists Think I’m a Pessimist?”
After paying with a card, he handed the cash card back to my wife and said, “Go spend”.
Good food and an entertaining waiter. I can’t guarantee that he’ll still be there.

Good burger, quick service.
Jul. 2017 • Couples
Ducked into this place during the day (I believe it may be called something different before the cocktail bar opens but it is definitely this place.

Had a cheeseburger, European style! Nice toasted Turkish bread, good patty and nice fresh fillings!

Can't complain at all about this burger apart from the fact that it was huge and we couldn't finish it! Couples with small appetites be advised that sharing one may be enough, haha (See photo)

Nice view, bad cocktails
Jun. 2017 • Couples
Staff was nice but the coctails (pina coladas) was a joke. Glass full of crushed ice and bad rum, not Malibu that's for sure! 56kn is also too much to ask for the icecrush.

Harbour views, and fresh lemonade, yum yum
May 2017 • Couples
This bar is situated right next to the winery in Bol and right on the harbour front. It is just the place to visit and watch the comings and goings along the harbour front. Try their freshly squeezed lemonade it really is fresh and you made need some sugar in it but if you are like me and love the taste of lemon this is right up your street.

Pleasant lunch
May 2017 • Couples
Having travelled over from Split and walked to and from the beach we were tired and hungry. YOLO was the first place we came upon, it's situated right by the harbour and bus station. Fairly extensive menu . We had a pasta dish and a Chicken Caesar salad. Both were better than fine without being outstanding. took a while to come, but there was a big group just ahead of us ( they had burgers and pizzas - looked ok)
We were served by a very pleasant girl, who brought drinks quickly and the place was clean with good loos and wifi. It certainly suited our needs.

Worst pizza I have ever had
May 2017 • Friends
Me and my friend ordered one pizza each and both of them were terrible. They were overfilled with tasteless cheese and tastes almost nothing. Waiter forgot what we ordered and asked twice. Still we had to ask THREE times for the bottle of water we ordered until we at last had to go get it ourselves! They even had the bad taste of letting us pay for the water... Never again.

Great Lunch
May 2017 • Couples
Stopped for a burger and seafood risotto at YOLO. Food was great and served quickly. Burger was huge! Waitress was really friendly. We were expecting a high price be because it was right in the sea front but it was very reasonable. One of the best meals we'd had in Croatia.
