The walkways have no handrails, there are few places you can sit down to rest during hours of walking. Large crowds jostle past you on the narrow walkways, that are sometimes wet and slippery.

You're talking hours of a queue if you show up anytime after 08:00 - 09:00 in the busy season. Do yourself a favor and either get there early or don't go at all. Once you are inside I found the signs for walking trails very...More

Plitvice lakes national park has several blue-green lakes linked by waterfalls. Visited in late November after a snowfall, made walkways icy and slippery. Good news was there were not many people in the park, so we were able to see a great deal.

I saw many children there but not sure how you could take a stroller. I would strongly advise you to write to the park and find out.

I can't say for sure; don't even know if the park is open in winter. Boats may be out of the water; paths may be dangerous if icy. Part of the attraction is the variety of colors the lakes display; freezing temperatures... More
