Worth taking the short boat trip from Rovinj harbour to Katarina for a peaceful setting in pine woods with crystal clear waters. The hotel on the island is part of the Mastria group and so there are facilities to cater for food and drinks. Just...More

Beautiful scenery with all the small bays.. it is so idyllic and the park and surroundings around the hotel is amazing. A couple of good options for lunch. The boat ride itself is very nice

We were staying in Rovinj and caught a taxi boat to the island on day 1. We loved the 15 minute boat trip and it was £3.50 each return which was a joy. on the quiet island is one private hotel where you can enjoy...More

took boat over at night just to look around and enjoy the city views. Looks like a nice place to stay...I think going at sunset might be the best.

Katarina is the island closest to Rovinj, you are looking at it all the time. I originally thought it was part of the town until I walked around the harbour. Five minute boat ride. Tickets bought from Hotel Katarina when you return. Nice walk around...More

The Hotel Katarina is located on St Catherine's Island a short hop by ferry boat from the beautiful town of Rovinj. It is a majestic building surrounded by lovely gardens which lead down to the sea. It belongs to the Maistra group of hotels but...More

Catherine island located five minutes from Rovinj, boat ride. It offers a choice of peaceful and beautiful beaches. If you choose to eat on the island, is quite expensive, as well as a return ticket for a boat.

We caught the boat from the harbour, leaves every hour and returns every half hour. You pay at reception 25 Kuna each. The path around the island is broken with the bricks sticking up, must be very wary where you walk, still worth a visit.

If you are staying at the Island Hotel Katarina the boat to the island and access to the grounds is free. Otherwise you have to pay. The island is very pleasant. The grounds of the hotel are well cared for and the rest of the...More

Caught the boat across to the island. Disappointed. Could be a beautiful place, but quite neglected. The hotel looked nice I guess - but too quiet (for us). The one taverna we found was unattended at mid-day, so we returned to Rovinj hastily.

Hello! Yes, you can visit the pool, but you have to pay for it. Don't worry, it is very cheap as I remember and the sun beds are plenty, but I am not sure if you can take those anywhere you want. Have a safe trip and lots of... More

I think the name of the boat company is Maistra. The cost is 25kunars, which you pay at the hotel reception, it's Hotel Katarina, the only one on the island, unless the little hut is open down by the quayside. We went at... More
