Santa Ana Port is a growing upscale neighborhood at the foot of the Santa Ana Cerro (hill). It’s main features are the Windham Hotel and The Point, the city’s tallest building. It is a pleasant area, with residential and office buildings, as well as pleasant promenade by the river and plenty of restaurants and cafes. This is where the old Guayaquil brewery was located, and tucked against the Santa Ana Cerro is Los Silos, the old brewery silos that have been turned into upscale efficiency apartments. At the southern edge of the neighborhood, is the Plaza Pilsener. The owners of the brewery used to live in the cream-colored house behind Casa Pilsener, which currently houses the boutique hotel Mansion del Rio. It’s either a good starting point, or ending point, to a visit to Las Peñas, Cerro Santa Ana, and the Malecon.

This place is great if you just want to chill, bring a book, but there is in here, I guess you can just walk to the Malecon from here (free parking), and you can go from here to Las Peñas if you so desired. Place is clean and safe, lots of guards and cleaning crews, not a lot of shops or much to see other than Rio GUayas

Great place to have a drink in multiple choices of bars or to have dinner in a multiple choice of hips restaurants. Do not leave Guayaquil without visiting Puerto Santa Ana.

We heard so much about Malecon, but we never heard about the Futuristic side of Malecon, at least that's how we called the Santa Ana Port, so many beautiful buildings, and looks like keep on going on and on, we saw the new area that's been developing right next to Santa Ana Port, beautiful, it sure going to look like West Palm Beach, FLORIDA, this is a beautiful place, they should advertise it more, we loved.

We strolled up and down the port, as we enjoyed the Malecon area, as well as the restaurants and bars located all around it. Sadly though, most of the Port was closed due to covid, so we walked on the street along the closed gate.

WE enjoyed a short walking tour of Santa Ana Port, and really enjoyed learning about the area. The upscale housing along the water was beautiful!
