Great experience for my 9 and 15 year olds alike. We took a pleasant bus ride to the desert, rode a good distance on the quads, reached a Bedouin village and rode camels. We sat in open tents, sipped tea and returned with great memories.
I only give 1 star for the atv riding it was fantastic . The tanoura show is over boring and the belly dancer boring nothing special . The fooddddddd the most disgusting food i ever see and eat rubish no comment don't go there

Hi Nick. I am not sure if you can explore much of Cairo just in one day but if you do it fast, you can visit pyramids and other landmarks tomorrow once you land there. Then experience some night life and go to Sherm early Friday morning.
You should book a tour to climb Mt. Sinai. You can do that once you are in Sherm al Sheikh but it's better if you book in advance. If tours are available, you can leave on Friday evening for Sinai and you will be back to Sherm al Shiekh by Saturday afternoon. You are gonna be dead tired but you will still have a day to explore Sherm as well.
Trips leave in evening as you will be climbing Mt. Sinai during the night and should reach the top before the break of dawn so you can see sunrise. It's a spectacular view. You will have to climb to the top by walk. The way is tough and steep so better carry water and some snacks to eat. There are some small shops on the way that sell tea etc. There is no toilet facility at all so keep that in mind before you start climbing. If you take a camel, it helps to cover around 70% of the way but still have to do the rest on foot once the mountains get steeper. You might need to bargain for camel prices as that's the trend in Egypt, you get charged more if you're a tourist. Best of luck on your journey. Have fun!
Also it was safe, mehmood would keep us together and he wouls also let us know where we probably get approached by street sellers....but didnt feel unsafe at all overall egyptian people were erg friendly!!!
