This is must-to-see attraction in Ohrid. This temple erected in IX century, has full interior decorations, "furniture" etc. It is located by the old convent where many people studied

We were staying in the old town at the top of the hill in Ohrid and made a wrong turn and stumbled on this active archaeological restoration site. Very pretty and interesting.

Compared to some of the other churches in and around Ohrid, this church, St Kliment is a bit understated - although we still thought that this serene building was most enjoyable. Unusually parts of this church are very simplistic , white washed walls contrasting with...More

A "reconstructed" church, some might call it a pastiche. However it is well done, with fine patterns of stone and brick and magnificently situated above the lake. The archaeological site (Plaoshnik) around is interesting, with some fine paleo-Christian mosaics.

The silhouette of this church is very impressive, with its curves, domes and bell-tower giving it an exoticly Eastern or Orthodox look. The vivid blue of Lake Ohrid behind it makes the scene even more appealing. However, this perfect profile is the result of heavy...More

The history of this site begins with a Christian basilica. Since it fell into disrepair, the site has been transformed into a monastery (by Saint Clement around 900 AD), been enlarged, fallen into disrepair again, converted into a mosque (twice) and back into a Christian...More

This huge church is a wonder! At the entrance, there was a guard and prices were noted, but he told us to enter, just like everybody else, so I'm not sure if it's either free or paying?! The place is really nice, extremely well designed...More
