About
We're a local, small-scale chocolate company in Roatan, Honduras, founded in 2010. Our primary mission is to create the finest chocolate in Central America, and obviously THE WORLD!, while also giving back to the local indigenous communities and protect the rainforest where our cacao comes from. Our main location, on West End, Roatan is the home of our factory, bakery and our coffeeshop. We also have two small chocolate kiosks in Roatan, one on each of the cruise ports. Visit us to learn more about our rare cacao beans, protecting the rainforest, the chocolate making process, the health benefits of cacao, the birth of chocolate and of course to try our delicious jaguar friendly chocolate.

    Best chocolate I ever tasted!!
The store sells authentic chocolate without sugar that tastes pure and delicious. They also sell cacao beans, coffee, and cocoa butter. I visited the store and tasted different chocolate samples. They were so good, I bought 6 bars! You have to taste Honduran chocolate- so yummy!

    Great Chocolate Making Class
We did the two-hour chocolate making tour with Dani. He made the time fly by as he told us the history of chocolate and guided us through the process. We came home with two large, dark chocolate bars. It was so much fun! I highly recommend it.

    Tasty chocolate!
This tiny little factory was well worth the visit. It was fascinating learning about cacao and making chocolate. There were little dishes with tongs where you could taste all of the varieties of chocolate they had. Just a few are almond, chiles, coffee. I bought a pure 80% cacoa bar, which was not terribly sweet.

    Coffee Shop in Hidden Gem
We were surprised by the coffee shop on the lower level! They need to advertise the coffee shop! It is the best coffee shop in West End! We are just sad we discovered the hidden gem on our last morning!

    Get the Ice Cream!!!
Such delicious ice cream we had to stop 3 times during our 2 week stay! The coconut ice cream was particularly yummy. Everything looked great but we couldn’t pass up the ice cream. Cute decorations, comfy seating, and cool a/c too. Love it!

Basically, this is a quick stop in a small chocolate store. You receive a brief introduction on how the chocolate is made but there is no actual viewing of the process. There are a few samples to try, and then you can buy a candy bar for $5 each. There was little else - no other chocolate candies, such as chocolate caramels, chocolate covered jellies, etc. No brownies, or chocolate sauce for ice cream. No viewing window to watch the process or even a video. There is a lot of potential here to make this a memorable stop on an excursion, but they have done so little with this.

My daughter, a Berkley Law Student, and her husband a student at El Paso Community College visited the Roatan Chocolate Factory and were asked to change tables twice by the manager until finally they were asked to sit outside on the scalding Honduran heat and humidity! The manager claimed that the tables inside the restaurant were “reserved” however, there were no “reserved” signs on these tables. There were ten members of our family visiting Roatan from Texas, California and the Honduran mainland.and these experience truly soured our trip. When I questioned the manager about the way she had treated my daughter and her husband, she did not apologize, in fact, she was also rude to me. This place of business claims to advocate for the Honduran wildlife, how about starting with the basics and treat the native Honduran humans fairly first?

This company is a eco-friendly biz. They are trying to become a world leader in chocolate through their ambassadorship to supporting the rain forest. BTW the chocolates is amazing. Worth a stop. Chocolate bars aren't cheap, but you will buy 4 and get one free.

Colorful and welcoming spot to learn about quality and sustainable chocolate production. Smells heavenly when you walk into the building, with tasty treats available in the cafe and chocolate shop. Went upstairs and toured the chocolate making facility and tasted the delicious candy samples. Great stop for chocolate lovers!

Some friends tipped us off to the amazing Indian food here so we stopped in for lunch. Wow! We love Indian food and this was among the best we've had. Not a huge selection (maybe 5-6 dishes?) but the 4 of us each had a different dish and all were delicious! The Chicken Tikka Masala was a highlight and the naan was soooo good. Really reasonable prices, too, with lunches around $7US.

The "tour" itself was a little underwhelming, but probably because they weren't actually making chocolate that day. On the other hand, it was free and we learned a bit about how our favorite food was made, so worth a stop!

The chocolate is exceptional, the treats and drinks (we sampled many over the course of a week) were all very good and made with their chocolate. The staff is outrageously friendly. They include a free tour and the only complaint I could come up with is our guide was so excited about the process of making chocolate he talked a little fast. But it was very obvious that he was passionate about what they are doing there and was very knowledgeable.

I’ve not been to a chocolate factory tour before and this experience was anything but ‘factory-like’. The chocolate is handmade by two women on the second floor. Interesting to see the process.

The cafe doubles as the sales room for the bars and snacks. You could also get lunch but we were at the start of our day tour and opted for their excellent iced and hot coffee and the largest Nanaimo square we’d ever seen.

Who doesn’t like chocolate! Cute little place that is better visited when the cruise ships are NOT in port. Visited this place twice during our visit. Sat on the porch sipping cappuccino our first visit and on the second tried one of their tasty desserts called Carmalita that was unbelievable with another cappuccino. I also purchased some bars to take home. The consistency of the bars are different from what I am accustomed to. It is hard to bite the chocolate due to its thickness, I’m afraid of breaking my teeth off. The white chocolate bar I brought home is not to my liking.
